The Deaconess role stands alongside that of the Deacons in service to the church. The women in this ministry tend to the needs of the overall congregation with a softer and more nurturing touch- specifically for women, children, and the elderly. But ultimately to anyone in distress, this ministry provides comfort with compassion, sympathy and loving kindness.
